Overview

Job Summary:
Akoya Hotels is seeking a passionate and skilled Chef De Partie specializing in Indian cuisine to manage a kitchen section and ensure high standards of food quality, hygiene, and presentation. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in classical and contemporary Indian cooking techniques and be a strong team player.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain a designated kitchen section (e.g., tandoor, curry, veg).

  • Prepare Indian dishes with consistency, creativity, and attention to detail.

  • Maintain mise en place, cleanliness, and food hygiene standards.

  • Collaborate with the culinary team and assist in training junior staff.

  • Ensure proper food storage, inventory control, and minimize wastage.

Qualifications:

  • Experience as a Chef De Partie or Commis Chef in Indian cuisine.

  • Strong skills in Indian cooking techniques and spice/flavor balancing.

  • Knowledge of hygiene and food safety regulations.

  • Ability to work under pressure and lead a section independently.

  • Culinary certification and knowledge of regional Indian cuisines are a plus.
