Job Summary:
Akoya Hotels is seeking a passionate and skilled Chef De Partie specializing in Indian cuisine to manage a kitchen section and ensure high standards of food quality, hygiene, and presentation. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in classical and contemporary Indian cooking techniques and be a strong team player.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain a designated kitchen section (e.g., tandoor, curry, veg).
Prepare Indian dishes with consistency, creativity, and attention to detail.
Maintain mise en place, cleanliness, and food hygiene standards.
Collaborate with the culinary team and assist in training junior staff.
Ensure proper food storage, inventory control, and minimize wastage.
Qualifications:
Experience as a Chef De Partie or Commis Chef in Indian cuisine.
Strong skills in Indian cooking techniques and spice/flavor balancing.
Knowledge of hygiene and food safety regulations.
Ability to work under pressure and lead a section independently.
Culinary certification and knowledge of regional Indian cuisines are a plus.
